One thing you all may not know about me (yet) is, not only am I obsessed with anything to do with decorating the home, I’m also obsessed with fashion. Much to my husband’s dismay I have now passed this along to my 3-year-old son who gets more excited about new clothes than new toys.
As I delve more and more into the world of decorating the home, I realize often times that the latest and greatest color palettes for the home are also reflected in that season’s fashion magazines. How great is that for me?! It’s a double whammy!
I’m all about bright colors and putting things together that make a statement. So, when fall temperatures finally arrived this week, I started thinking about my fall color palettes.
Mixing orange and navy has been an all-time fall favorite of mine and when I came across an amazing outfit on this VERY COOL SITE, it got me thinking about how amazing those colors would look in a house. Let me take you on a quick visual tour of what I would LOVE to do with these colors in a house in the future.

Who wouldn’t love to spend a lazy Saturday here?

I found this orange and navy bedroom on the blog of a woman who has two young boys like myself. I’d LOVE to do this to their room some day.

An orange and navy subtle statement – LOVE THIS and it’s doable in any home!

How fun is this? If my husband ever lets me put an office under our stairwell, this will be my inspiration.

If this has gotten you thinking about your favorite wardrobe palettes turned into your favorite home color palettes, you can check out Apartment Therapy’s Color Theory Glossary. October is all about color over there and you can get some great ideas and inspiration.
I’m off to go pair more outfits together for the sake of design!
