Holiday Pop-Up Shop with Artists Sue and Christine
Sue Henry, one of our guest bloggers and a talented artist whose studio we toured a while back, is hosting a pop-up holiday shop this weekend in her Del Ray home. Sue and her friend, artist Christine Charboneau are offering accessories, decor, jewelry, paintings, hula hoops and other beautiful, one-of-a-kind gifts.
You can visit the pop-up shop this weekend – Friday through Sunday, December 11 to 13 – for Sue’s Tulusa Home Goods and Chrissy’s fine art and handmade hula hoops.
To make her collection, Sue carves large rubber stamps and uses them with fabric paint to create custom textiles, which she hand-embroiders and then sews into pillows and clutches. (As a knitter, I find the clutches the perfect size for knitting notions.)
Sue’s also made whimsical garlands with pompoms and beads to hang horizontally or vertically.
Christine is selling her lovely, small paintings of nature scenes from the area, as well as fun, handmade hula hoops.
