A Dinner Party Catered by Del Ray

A Dinner Party Catered by Del Ray

One of the many reasons we love having a vibrant restaurant scene in Del Ray is the fact that you can use those restaurants as your personal catering company. Having a party, but no time to cook? No problem! Here’s a few ideas for a delicious dinner at home for a small party of 6 or a party of 16 or more.

For an easy appetizer, make your own cheeseboard with ingredients from Cheesetique and seasonal fruit from the Del Ray Farmers Market.

Or pick up a bag of chips, salsa and guacamole from Taqueria Poblano.

Taqueria also sells platters of fixins for make-your-own tacos and the mix for their margaritas.

Another simple option — a platter of sandwiches from Market 2 Market, Mancini’s or Caboose Cafe — just pair with your own homemade sides.

We love the rotisserie chickens to go from Del Ray Cafe and, not pictured, a sheet pan of BBQ and mac ‘n cheese from Pork Barrel BBQ.

Even if you don’t have time to order a custom cake for your event, chances are good Rebecca Underley at Del Ray Cakery has some cake pops on hand for a light dessert.

And nothing beats homemade brownies with a scoop of custard from the Dairy Godmother.
