Giveaway: CeCe Caldwell’s Chalk Paint

Giveaway: CeCe Caldwell’s Chalk Paint

If you live in the Del Ray area and you like to refurbish furniture, this is the giveaway for you. We’re excited to partner with Potomac West Antiques on this special deal for a lucky DIY Del Ray reader — a can of CeCe Caldwell’s chalk paint.

This product is eco-friendly, VOC-free, self-priming, super adhesive and made from chalk, clay and minerals. If you’ve used Annie Sloan chalk paint, you’ll probably also enjoy using CeCe Caldwell’s. It’s great for modernizing a dated piece of furniture or sprucing up a worn out antique. Though we haven’t used it, we can’t wait to try it. Look at those stunning colors!

The best part is that Potomac West will host a free CeCe Caldwell chalk paint workshop at their shop on May 18 from 11am-12pm so you can learn the techniques to really make your furniture look great.

To enter the giveaway, comment on this post and tell us how you’d like to use the paint (Don’t know yet? Just make something up!) and register for the workshop on May 18. A winner will be chosen at random and the paint can be picked up at the workshop. If you register early for the workshop, you’ll also be in the running for a free CeCe Caldwell’s chalk painting class, valued at $125.

PRIZE: One (1) quart of CeCe Caldwell’s chalk paint.
DEADLINE: Tuesday, May 14 at 11:59 pm EST.
WINNER: One lucky winner will be chosen by and notified on Wednesday, May 15 by email. We’ll also announce the winner on this blog post and our social sites — make sure you like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for additional notice. Winner will have 48 hours to respond or else we will select another name.
PRIZE REDEEMABLE: Paint can be picked up at Potomac West Antiques during the paint workshop on May 18.

  1. Yeah – Looking forward to painting something in Angus room. Hope I win!

  2. I probably have about 10 cabinets to paint (we had to take out in the kitchen and are reusing them for storage in the basement) a sanded and primed wine cabinet that is begging for paint, a wooden ottoman that needs new life, an antique camel saddle ottoman that needs major help, an old dresser I would like to make an outdoor plant feature among other projects…HELP!!!!! I am excited about the workshop and also excited to see the items in the store :)

  3. I would try to refurbish some items that while nice, could be fabulous. Other products seem intimidating, but from what I’ve read, this paint sounds and looks great.

  4. I have been dying to paint a side table I bought months ago with the intent of making it an emerald/jade/teal color with chalk paint.

  5. I’d love to paint some planters to be able to mark them for my herb garden. I’d also love to paint something in the kitchen so my daughter could play while I cook.

  6. I would finally attempt to refurbish a thrifted dresser for our bedroom. The current one needs to go!

  7. Would love to paint my daughter’s bedroom furniture!

  8. Oh, what WOUDLN’T I use it for? My real plan would be to paint the interior wall immediately next to the entrance of my home. That way, friends coming and going can leave notes, drawings and well-wishes on my wall for all to see. :)

  9. I’m going to be out of town this weekend so I’m not entering the contest, but I’m really excited about this new paint. I love the annie sloan chalk paint but the pretty colors sell out so fast that I think it will be great to have more than one brand available in the area. Later this summer I’m going to be redoing my kitchen cabinets. I’ve already done a secretary and a table and if I can work with this stuff easily, anyone can :-)

    Have a great workshop!

  10. I would love to spruce up some used kitchen chairs to go with my new kitchen table found at the Big Flea! Love the colors!

  11. Congratulations Tiffany Miller you are the winner of the giveaway! We will contact you via email with more info about redeeming your free paint. Thanks everyone for participating!
