What does your fashion style say about you? Some thoughts from Fashion’s Night Out in Del Ray last night:
“I’m a chic urban cowgirl with a fleece vest and some pretty fabulous jewelry (understated, yet bold, that’s classic Del Ray). I’m headed to Pork Barrel for dinner later. Just please be careful with the BBQ sauce, ok? It would ruin my signature white organic cotton gown, imported from Montana.”
“I thought about wearing jeans, but these pants with a pop ‘o pink are perfectly pleasant for puttering around. Oh and my shirt? Fringe, ladies. It’s not just for the ends of a frayed air brushed t-shirt. I’m all fringe, all the time.”
“Sweet Georgia peach, I got my outfit picked out for the home and garden tour. Note to self: Might need different shoes for all that walking. I’ll save these booties for the after party at the No. 9.”
“I’ve got a fierce attitude, and I’ll toss my jacket off like Batgirl for dramatic effect. Now, let’s go get some espresso and talk about the Hunger Games, shall we?”
“Please don’t fall, please don’t fall, please don’t fall. World’s largest heals. Ok, I got it under control. Ahh, what do you think about my hat? Nautical glam!”
“Style revival a la Marty McFly circa 1985. Ready for tailgating, camping, or time travel. Peace!”
“I’m complicated, I like to point out your grammatical errors, and I appreciate the finer things. But I’m really fun too — I’ve got a cape and a brooch! No one wears capes these days so let’s bring them back! Wicked!”
“They always say, the bigger the bow, the brighter the smile. Let’s do brunch.”
“Don’t be intimidated by my pencil skirt and lace bustier. I’m really super nice. I recycle! And upcycle! And volunteer! I’m knitting a scarf for my friend this weekend!”
What are your fashion plans this fall, Del Ray? Did you get any great ideas from the show last night? I’m leaning urban cowgirl, but the vintage look has a soft spot in my heart too.

One of the best 1st Thursdays in a while!
Agree — each one just gets better and better!
Well done Olga. Well done!
