Last week, we gave you a glimpse of a few of the alluring features in one of the fabulous homes on the 2012 Del Ray House and Garden Tour. What could be behind door number two?
When you enter this captivating home, you’ll wish you had an audio tour to listen to the fascinating stories the owner can tell about each and every object and art piece she lovingly displays.
You’ll find gorgeous en plein air landscape paintings hung throughout the house.
Bird cages and religious iconography.
Mirrors and lights strung inside and out.
J. Bauer California pottery collected during the owner’s many years living and working in Los Angeles.
The house is warm and inviting, but you can’t linger too long if you want to see all 12 homes on the Del Ray House and Garden Tour on May 19, 2012. Buy your ticket today by visiting the Del Ray Citizens Association website or stopping by the Del Ray Farmer’s Market on a Saturday morning, or A Show of Hands on the Avenue.
Your ticket proceeds go back into our community. This year’s tour will support the Alexandria Scholarship Fund and landscaping at the “Pocket Park” at the corner of Commonwealth and East Del Ray Avenues.
Watch for another sneak preview next week!

Hi Leslie,
Love all you are doing for the House Tour! Thank you. You should probably remove the “Nominate a home” link or change the date to 2014. Thank you for everything. Best, Elise Reeder
Oops — thanks for the reminder Elise! We’ve made a note on that post that the nomination period is closed.
This is one of my favorites and the owner told us it was great fun having you over for a preview. Can;t wait till next week.
